Ho-ho-hold your horses, now! We got a brand new episode of Justified to talk about! It’s a particularly brilliant one, the dialog was just amazing.

We discuss Carpetbagger’s imitation preacher routine, Devil’s loyalty, Dickie’s swagger, Raylan’s race relations, Boyd’s pitter patter, the finer points of vehicular assault, and the three point turning of pig shit.

What a great episode! It had it all, a cool “gangster of the week”, maximized levels of Raylan and Boyd badassery, links to the main season arc… really, you can’t ask for much more from a show.

We talk about why we feel like this episode works so well, the many versions of Boyd the show has presented us, Raylan’s recovery, why we’ve firmly come down on the “anti” side of the Raylan/Winona shipper debate, this show’s Breaking Bad and Taxi Driver allusions, and Johnny Crowder’s loyalty. We also consider some fan feedback, including another fantastic segment from our own embedded reporter, Ted.

Justified takes a bit of a procedural turn in episode two of season three, titled “Cut Ties”. How does that sit with Jim and A.Ron? We discuss our reactions, good and bad, Boyd’s master plan for Dickie, Karen Sisco Goodall’s tongue in cheek tribute to a classic Leonard Elmore character, Art’s bad ass turn, and the tasty, tasty first appearance of Noble Hollow’s own, Limehouse! I think I’m going to need a spot, here.
