Tons of cool stuff today! We’re opening with some lingering confusion over who called Walt and told him to “go home”. I thought it was Mike, Jim thought it was Gus. Then the official AMC recap came out, and seemed to put the matter to rest; it was Mike. But then yesterday, Alan Sepinwall confirmed…
Read MoreSorry I’m late today, I had this thing all wrapped up and then JUST as I was about to hit “publish” I got kidnapped by some ex-cop and held in an underground meth superlab until my boss came by and slit a co-workers throat. Wait, no, that’s what I WISHED happened. In reality, I got…

Read MoreIf you’re looking for it, we posted our cast fairly early yesterday evening. Otherwise, it’s going to be a busy day for me and an apparently light day of Breaking Bad news, so let’s get right to it. John Crook from Zap2It talks with Aaron Paul about an indy film he just finished up. “Just…

Read MoreFirst up, I challenge some of Jim’s takes from last week, we touch on a cranky dude from Seattle’s complete failure to get the point of Breaking Bad. We recap the show, and considering the relative health of Jesse’s lifestyle, how Walt’s gangster side is being figuratively and literally knocked down a peg, Hank’s mancrush on his PT, Skyler’s new career in hostile takeovers, Victor’s replacement, and Mike’s apparent lack of attention to detail.

You didn’t miss our instant takes last night, did you? If you did, here’s a link to mine, and here’s a link to Jim’s. On to the other recaps! Alan Sepinwall’s take over at HitFix. Get used to seeing Sepinwall, because he’s my personal favorite TV critic. Oh, he also had a video interview with…
Read MoreSpoilers ahoy. Do not read this unless you’ve seen the episode or don’t mind it being blown wide open. I knew half way through this episode that this one was going to be tough to write about. Vince Gilligan seems to be intent on moving around his pieces on the board and slowing things down…
Read More“Thirty-Eight Snub” definitely felt like a bridge episode. All of the storylines are sitting on super-volcanoes, just waiting to erupt, with devastating side-effects for everyone. Walt has to be ultra-paranoid right now. Gus obviously has his house on LOCK DOWN. Jesse and Walt aren’t getting near him at this point. I don’t believe for a…
Read MoreBusy week for A.Ron and Jim. A.Ron breaks down his various trials and tribulations including a Jim Jones mindfuck, a breakup, getting his PANFI on with his boy, and golfing in Satan’s Asshole. We also launched a very successful podcast on Breaking Bad, and were interviewed on The Amazingly Pulp SHOOOOOOOWWWWWW!! We bring the listeners up do date with some follow up to the male privelidge aspect of our cast with Madbrew last week. I don’t know what to make of this take, in particular, of a feminist pondering male privildge through the prism of her own white privlidge. I don’t doubt the basic truth of her premise, but I’m not sure what to do with this information.
