The Deuce – 207 – The Feminism Part

Jim and I checked out the latest episode of HBO’s The Deuce, “The Feminism Part”, and boy, just a lot happened. There’s mob money, murder, attempted murder, betrayals, breakups, Bobby’s kid lost his virginity! The stakes can be as low as Vince losing himself for a few days tending bar in sleepy Vermont towns, or as high as a dead prostitute washing up and into Detective Alston’s case load. That’s life on The Deuce.

In this week’s episode of HBO’s Westworld, “Les Ecorches”, Bernard and Ford have a heart to heart, Dolores flips her daddy’s wig, William is betrayed by his old buddy Lawrence, Maeve makes a promise that she might not be able to keep, and the end game involving the Valley Beyond starts to come into focus. 207 – A Man Without Honor

Jim and A.Ron consider “A Man Without Honor”, the latest season two episode on our re-watch of HBO’s Game of Thrones.  This episode is about revealing the true characters of people like Jamie, Cersei, Tyrion, Tywin, Shae, Sansa, and Robb, and the thing you take away is that these are all people, multifaceted, conflicting, contradictory, but in a way that feels human and real.  And Dany, is you know… looking for her dragons.

207 – Semper Fidelis

In episode 207 of Netflix’s Daredevil, “Semper Fidelis”, Foggy and Karen fight for Frank’s freedom, while Matt abandons his friends and client to pursue the larger goal of keeping Hell’s Kitchen safe. Foggy and Karen have some things to say about that, and it’s pretty glorious. At the same time, Matt seems concerned that he’s inching ever closer to the “one bad day” that the Punisher warned him was in his future, where the lines between justice and vengeance blur and become unrecognizable. Also, Daredevil and Elektra discover a giant hole. What’s up with that? All this a bunch of feedback from your fellow fans. See you Monday for more!
