707 – The Dragon and the Wolf

Jim and A.Ron develop their thoughts on the season finale of HBO’s Game of Thrones, “The Lion and the Wolf”.  Many were pleased, yet there are some lingering resentments.  We try to talk through why we thought Cersei’s scheming, Sansa and Arya’s collaboration, and the Night King’s ultimate plan to cross the wall made a lot of sense both from a plot and character standpoint, but we definitely leave room for people who have trouble looking past how we arrived there.  In the end, we both agree that the series is set for a thrilling and satisfying conclusion, and the DD’s have nearly twice the time to develop it.  Will they succeed?  Can Martin eventually do better? Join us next week as we wrap up our Season 7 coverage and try to answer these questions and more.  And don’t forget Friday, as we delve into the deeper meanings and book implications for the events of this season!  See you then.

707 – The Dragon and the Wolf – Instant Take

Jim and A.Ron declare that the finale of HBO’s Game of Thrones, “The Dragon and the Wolf”, did enough to, if not completely excuse the issues of the past few episodes, at least have us back to being fully excited and eager to see the story resume… probably  sometime in 2019.  That’s a long wait, and for as much grief we’ve given the Double D’s here and there, we’re really going to miss their show while it’s away.  But that’s just two guys opinions.  What did you think?  Tell us at the links below!  We’ll be back Tuesday for a full featured analysis and tons of feedback, then we’ll talk about how the finale impacts our understanding of book and show prophecies and predictions.  See you then!

707 – Sing Me A Song

A.Ron and Jim are pleased to note that “Sing Me A Song” is an improved, if far from perfect episode of The Walking Dead. We discuss invisible Jesus, Carl being gun shy, Rosita being unreasonable and Eugene proving her claims of cowardice true, Spencer’s Latin studies finally paying off, and Rick and Aaron up to something awesome that unfortunately we’ll have to wait until next week to actually see. All this and a ton of feedback, coming your way!

707 – “May Be The Last Time”

Cecily and A.Ron once again discuss HBO’s True Blood, this time for episode 707, “May Be the Last Time”, which is unfortunately kind of forgettable.  Andy cries, Violet shows off her antique sex toy collection, a vampire gets staked, and Bill and Sookie have some retro-relations, but still… yawn?  Let’s hope they pick up the…
