WandaVision, Mr Inbetween, For All Mankind – Off the Clock

This week we conclude the first season of WandaVision which we were seemingly less disappointed in than the rest of the internet. Then we discuss the first episode of a Hulu / FX show called “Mr Inbetween” that was suggested by one of our Executive Producers over on our Patreon. Finally, we talk about the first three episodes of “For All Mankind” now that A.Ron has begun watching it.

1004 – Silence the Whisperers

I scream. You scream, We all scream an ice scream! Join us for the podcast as we have a little fun at the expense of Siddiq in an otherwise pretty solid episode that features Negan protecting Lydia and getting blamed for murder, Michonne being run ragged by the crafty Whisperers, Ezekiel trying to remove his mask, and someone (probably Carol) spreading propaganda, Banksy-style.

The Boxer (1997)

I didn’t know much about “The Troubles” in Ireland going into this movie and, to be honest, I don’t feel like I know any more coming out of it. History lessons aside, The Boxer includes some excellent performances from the entire cast in a movie that is more of a meditation on borrowed resentment than a traditional boxing story.

World of Tomorrow (2015)

When we were commissioned to cover Don Hertzfeldt’s World of Tomorrow shorts, we weren’t sure if we’d even do it. Animated shorts aren’t usually our thing. We made an exception since they’re science fiction and it turns out that was the right call. World of Tomorrow is an excellent mediation on our lives and how we lead them through the lens of a future version of a girl named Emily and a clone of a man named David. Join us for far-reaching and interesting conversation about what it all means.

Thanks again to Grant for commissioning this project. You can get your very own custom commissioned podcast by visiting support.baldmove.com.
