209 – eps2.7_init_5.fve

We’re back for another in-depth review and recap of USA’s Mr. Robot, episode 209, “eps2.7_init_5.fve”. Starting off slow, it builds to a few intriguing possibilities in the form of wheezing man at the Susan’s house, a knock on Darlene’s door, and our least favorite attractive crazy person, Joanna rolling up on Elliot. We discuss morphine pops, crazy A.I. and Tyrell theories, and try to unravel the timeline issues from the last two episodes. All this plus all the feedback you can shake a Pwn Phone at!

Babylon 5

Special thanks to Brian Strader for bravely and against all odds commissioning the 90’s era sci-fi drama “Babylon 5”. Jim and I thought such a sprawling project couldn’t be properly covered in just three episodes, given our bias against the series dated FX, questionable set and costuming, and our rabid pro-Trek bias. But, amazingly, he selected three beauts that we feel gave us a newfound respect and understanding of the Babylon 5 fandom. Tune in if you want to hear a lot of comparisons and contrasts between B5 and DS9, discussion of interstellar sex, and appreciation for the emoting of snake men and owl people.

108 – The Pointy End

Jim and A.Ron continue their re-watch of season one of HBO’s Game of Thrones series, with episode 108, “The Pointy End”. All this, and a ton of feedback, plus our customary spoiler section at the end where we talk about lore, character motivations, foreshadowing, and the rare continuity problem or two.

208 – eps2.6_succ3ss0r.p12

A Mr. Robot episode without Mr. Robot? Can such a thing actually be allowed to happen, and if it does, will anyone enjoy the result? The answer, actually, is yes. It isn’t a perfect episode, and suffers from issues that may or may not bother you, but we loved it. We discuss karaoke, Mr. Robots influence on and by The Leftovers, what is up with Angela? no seriously, what is up with Angela?, Darlene finding her dark side, and we explode pacemaker theories. All this, tons of great feedback, and more Duck Phillips jokes than you can shake a stick at, coming your way.

301 & 302 – Valley of the Heart’s Delight & One Way or Another

Well, season three of Halt and Catch Fire certainly shook things up for our heroes. The consensus is that these first two episodes have taken the show to the next level— but there is much still yet to be revealed. Donna and Gordon picked up right where they left off, but tension is always present on the…

107 – You Win or You Die

Jim and A.Ron are thrilled to be back for a sneaky good episode 107 of HBO’s Game of Thrones, “You Win or You Die”. Classic Game of Thrones, basically. All that, plus super-sized mailbags of both the unspoiled and spoiler variety, coming your way.
