407 – Test of Strength

This week A.Ron and Cecily are a bit underwhelmed by this episode, though it did have its moments. We discuss Jimmy’s singing career, Eve’s awesomeness, the limits of Paul’s acceptance of the Candy Striper, AKA ‘Lil Meryl, Richard Edgington’s crappy plotting, and of course, how Del is a complete and total a-hole. All this, your feedback, and a smidgen of spoilers at the very end.

506 – “Consumed”

A.Ron and Jim really dig into episode 506 of AMC’s The Walking Dead, “Consumed”.  We talk the meaning of smoke and fire, Daryl and Carol’s long shared history and it’s impact on the story, skywalking sleeping bag zombies, the coolness of Daryl triumphant, and freak out a little about Carol’s survival prospects.  All this plus…

506 – “Consumed” – Instant Take

This episode really showed me something, some heart, some history, some really disturbing use of camping gear.  I loved it almost start to finish, while Jim’s praise was more reserved. Will he see the light by the time of our full cast?  Stay tuned for Tuesday! If you want to give us a shout out,…

Big Trouble in Little China (1986)

Big shout out to Freddie C, the man with the balls to drive his truck all the way to Cincinnati, grab his knife out of his boot, and tell us how it was going to be.  We were going to hop aboard the Porkchop Express and follow him coast to coast, double fisting sandwiches and spitting the truth about life, relationships, big rigs, and Big Trouble in Little China.  In short, we would be preaching the gospel of Jack Burton over the CB airwaves. But problems ensued.  Chinese monkey predator monsters. Lightning wielding rice patty farmers.  Ancient bastards stealing green eyed woman.  Smoldering mystical brews.  Then it was all over in a blinding flash of white light.  What few lunatic ravings that were able to be preserved, are here on this podcast for your enjoyment.

406 – Bullseye

Cecily and A.Ron found this episode a fairly uncomfortable watch. Poor Paul, poor Ma Petite, poor all the freaks under the increasingly merciless rule of Ms. Mars, poor us the audience trying to get through another bloated 75 minute episode. But we, like them, must endure. Join us in a rollicking discussion about candy stripers, villainous “Wheel” monologues, desert hearts filled with dust and scorpions, and much more. All this, your feedback, and a bit of spoiler talk at the very end.

505 – “Self Help”

This podcast for The Walking Dead episode 505, “Self Help”, has a lot going for it.  Abraham flashbacks, cool zombie deaths, some post apocalyptic sex, and lots of people making fun of Eugene.  But, as The Walking Dead is wont to do, there are also problems.  The flashbacks raise as many questions as they answer,…
