This episode split its time between the three going plot concerns, which we appreciated. The political maneuverings on The Maiden continue to excite us. What’s happening with Brother Dawn on Trantor is raising a lot of interesting questions about cloning while answering others. This episode is more action-heavy than the previous ones and the potential consequences for Terminus are frightening. But maybe only half as frightening as the consequences that a certain artificial life form might experience after bowing to her moon goddess right in front of her clone god. The Empire might be absent from this episode but that didn’t keep us from appreciating what Foundation is doing in S01E05 “Upon Awakening”. Another week, another strong episode of Foundation with S01E04. The mystery of Salvor Hardin continues to unfold as Terminus is threatened, but the real meaty stuff is once again happening on Trantor, including the slab of beef that is Lee Pace. And boy, do we sink our teeth in for a big ol’ bite with another near-2-hour episode.
